Supporting children from Lebanon
Hôtel-Dieu de France hospital (HDF), department of pediatrics founded in October 1977 provides hospitalized children with quality care services.
It consists of a pediatric intensive care unit, a neonatal intensive care unit, a chronic disease unit and a general pediatric unit, for the residing children, this department also offers a room for activities that includes toys, and is in need of laptops and tablets to grant these residing children access to online tutoring.
Club Rotarian Dr Grace Abi Rizk, approached the club with this project and thanks to the generous donation Euro 1980 from Rotary Club Carvin Hauts de France, President Odile Carpentier that was intended to support children in Lebanon, we were able to complete this project and purchase 2 laptops and 4 tablets.
On 4 March 2022, the club representatives President Ronald Farra, Immediate Past President Hagop Dantziguian, Past President Rami Sarkis, and Rotarian Dr Grace Abi Rizk, who is also head of Operation 7eme Jour (O7J) along with representatives from O7J, who collected new books and toys for the department, and the president of the hospital board of directors Prf. Salim Daccache s. J. and general director Mr. Nassib Nasr, along with the admin body and pediatric service team delivered the IT equipment, toys and books.
