President 2024 - 2025

I am deeply honored to assume the role of President of the Rotary Club of Beirut Cedars. My heartfelt thanks go to Ramzi, for his work and dedication. His efforts combined with those of previous Presidents before him, have laid a strong foundation for us to build upon.

Tonight, I am filled with gratitude and joy, surrounded by People of Action who have shaped the legacy of our club and continue to inspire me every day. I am excited to work alongside my Board and Committee Heads, composed of young and experienced dedicated Rotarians, who will bring a wealth of talent, expertise, and passion to our mission. I will be also looking forward to working with our beloved DDG Mona Kanaan and AG May Khodr.

During my presidency, we will focus on three key internal initiatives:

Investing in Our Club Members: by prioritizing our existing and new members’ well-being and growth, to enhance our collective ability to make a positive impact.

Boosting Our International Network: By engaging our international members to act as ambassadors, promoting and expanding our reach globally.

Hosting top-notch speakers and organizing innovative fellowship programs for our members, their families, their friends and guests.

For our key external initiatives, Service above Self will not remain at a club level but will be at a national level. I am excited to announce several ambitious projects for the coming year:

We are spearheading a National initiative that will unite Rotary clubs across Lebanon in a grand celebration of excellence. We will organize a gala dinner to honor 7 personalities who have excelled in one of the 7 areas of focus of Rotary. This event will recognize outstanding contributions, create awareness about Rotary activities in Lebanon, and inspire others to support and join our cause.

The Rotary Club of Beirut Cedars is partnering with the Beirut Marathon Association and We will participate in the upcoming marathon on November 10 under the banner of “The Association of Lebanese Rotary Clubs”, we will be enrolling Rotary Clubs, Rotaract Clubs, associations, companies, families, friends and individuals in this beautiful event, with proceeds funding a rainwater recuperation system at the Lebanese University’s Faculty of Engineering.

Fundraising Concert: In close collaboration with Maestro Harout Fazlian, we will organize at Casio du Liban the “We Will Rock You” Symphonic Rock concert, a first-of-its-kind in Lebanon where we will discover Rock like we have never seen or heard it before. Proceeds will support the AFEL association’s invaluable work with at-risk children and families.

We are participating in a Global Grant for a value of 120,000$ aiming to install Sky-Hydrant water filters in 20 army barracks all over Lebanon, and providing clean water to underserved communities.

Each Sky-Hydrant water filter can supply clean water to approximately 10,000 individuals.

Support for UDIVERSITY: We will collaborate with UDIVERSITY, the Culinary Academy for individuals with special needs, by supporting programs for adults with disabilities, empowering them to face life challenges and guiding them through obtaining independence and having the opportunities and resources to thrive.

The installation of a Solar Panels System for a value of 15,000 USD in a Primary School in Beirut thanks to the support of the RC LA Cedars.

A Twinning with the RC of LA Cedars, USA and with the RC of Voiron, France: This partnership will strengthen our international ties, facilitating the exchange of ideas and joint projects that extend our reach and impact.

And we will continue our ongoing and yearly support programs to Amour & Partage, Kid’s Alive, the Eyesight, The Food Boxes, the Civil defense, the famous Christmas cookies in its 3rd edition this year and the Cedars plantation. About the Cedars plantation, I would like to take this opportunity to announce that the Rotary Club Beirut Cedars will be planting a Cedar Tree in loving memory of Professor Robert Sacy.

As we embark on this journey, remember: that true leadership is not about titles, but about the inspiration and the impact we make, the lives we touch and the legacy we leave behind.

There is an African proverb that says: “If you want to go fast, go alone, but if you want to go far, go together.”

Together, we can achieve extraordinary things!

And This, is The Magic of Rotary!!!

Thank you.
