It is with great pleasure that I stand before you tonight as the new President of Rotary Club Beirut Cedars for the year 2023 -2024; I am honored today to be the 13 Th president of this great Club out of its 14 years from date of Club Inception.
I want to thank President Rony Farra for his great Leadership, Patience, management, wisdom, connection & achievements for the last 2 years of Presidency & for his 13 years as one of main founder of this Club, to be part & have a strong hands in the club’s realizations. (Please join me to Applaud P.Rony Farra).
Our Club has successfully achieved projects in the Rotary‘s 7 areas of focus, from Inception totaling around $6 M, only $3 M in the last 3 years.
Every Minute of Every Day, Rotary:
Feeds someone
Houses someone
Vaccinates someone
Perform surgery on someone
Comforts someone
Provides clean water to someone.
Our mission at Rotary Club Beirut Cedars & Rotary Clubs in general , is to help the less fortunate to have a better tomorrow , to Create Hope in the world , theme of this Rotarian Year , a hope for better education , a hope for better healthcare through vaccination ,a hope to have a better health through clean water , a hope to have clean environment , a hope to work on Peace Building & Conflict resolution, a hope to work on Disease prevention & treatments & a hope to work on Community Economic Development .
I want to thank all fellow members who worked hard to make this event realized.
Last, but not least, I wish all the present fathers & fathers to be, a Happy Father’s day.
