A delegation from RC Bad Homburg, D 1820 (Germany) composed of Erhard Krause, Gottfried Wohlmannstetter & Yvonne Heimerdinger, the Rotary Deutschland Gemeindienst staff member responsible for the school project GG1861237 initiated in 2018, will be visiting Lebanon from May 31 to June 6, 2022.
Rotarian Erhard Krause has been instrumental in getting a $2.4M Grant to Bassmeh & Zeitouneh School for Syrian refugees in Majdel Anjar, which was visited by the delegation on 1 June to discuss the updates of this project and how they are managing with the current situation facing Lebanon, then on 2 and 3 June they attended their open days program.
On the 3rd of June, The Orient-Institute launched a History Award in coordination between RC Beirut Cedars and RC Bad Homburg, and it was an incredible evening filled with music.
Furthermore, he raised a $400K grant to repair Geitawi Hospital after the Beirut port blast, which was visited on 4 June 2022, to be followed by a visit to Chabrouh, where our club planted in recognition and to honor his actions a 10m height Cedar tree.
During the club meeting on Wednesday 1 June, Rotarian Erhard Krause was given the floor to address the attending members and guests when he explained the long relationship and collaboration between our 2 clubs and the importance of the conducted projects.
To conclude the visit, the delegation went sightseeing and visited Jbeil on their last day in Lebanon, we thank Rotarian Mike Haroun for his time and dedication to make this trip an unforgettable one.
