July 2022 Speech:
50 dollars
Day in day out each one of us in the club gave a service for 50 dollars, in health, in education, in environment, in literacy, in fighting hunger.
50 dollars from each one of us during 365 days get us the amount of $750,000 of services provided by the club this year.
Each one of us could not have provided 18,000 dollars alone but together we provided 40 times this amount.
This is the power of being together in Rotary. The join efforts multiply the services we can give. This is the magic of Rotary.
You may have discovered it in the Global Grants projects when a small donation from 1 club is multiplied by the donation of another club and the matching donation of the Rotary Foundation…
And this goes on and on in Rotary in every field.
The inter country committees join efforts of Rotarians in one country with Rotarians in a different country.
The signing of twinning between clubs is destined to multiply activity between clubs, be it in mutual visits or other.
The dozens of fellowships existing in Rotary serve to bring members of different nations together. I urge each one to search for a fellowship according to his work or leisure activity.
Need I remind you that the search for peace is the ultimate goal of all our work. Peace in our community, in our village, in our country and in the world.
I take this opportunity to thank the committees and the board members which helped us achieve the success of this year.
July 2021 Speech:
Dear friends
Serve to change lives is Rotary President theme this year. And this what we have been doing at our club.
Rotary opens opportunities, and we have been able to serve in the 7 areas of focus
Rotary connects the world and we have touched all continents after August 4 blast.
Be the inspiration: clubs are looking up to us to see what else we are going to do.
Rotary: making a difference. We are an organization that touches everything needed to make a change.
Rotary serving humanity: educating by repairing schools, saving lives by fixing hopitals, changing the environment by removing pollution and planting trees…
Be a gift to the world. How did your input change the community to the better?
We are here to stay and change lives to the better, better education, better health, better environment, and bring peace around us.
Our projects this year will focus on health, education and environment for peace in the society.
Thank you to every club member, from wherever he or she is in the world, for pitching in to help the community in Lebanon.
