Support to the Displaced Lebanese People September 2024

Dear Rotarians and Friends of Lebanon,

In times of adversity, the true strength of our global Rotary family shines through. Today, Lebanon is facing a humanitarian crisis as thousands of families have been displaced from the south of the country. They have left behind their homes, their communities, and their sense of security. As members of the Rotary Disaster Relief Unit, representing all Rotary and Rotaract Clubs across Lebanon, we are committed to being there for them, and different groups of Rotarians, Rotaractors are already operating on the ground to secure shelters and basic needs to these families. But we need your help.

These families urgently need basic essentials: mattresses, blankets, hygienic kits, clean water, food, and medicines. We have solicited the Lebanese food bank who is tirelessly distributing food boxes.

Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a tangible difference in the lives of those who are suffering. Together, we can restore their dignity and bring them comfort in these darkest of times.

Humanity is priceless, and so is your support.

As Rotarians, we understand that service above self is not just a slogan—it is a way of life. This year’s Rotary theme is The Magic of Rotary, and now, more than ever, we call upon you to make it The Magic of Humanity for Lebanon. Let us stand united, as a global family, to bring relief and hope to those who need it most.

Together, we can overcome any challenge.
