Tripoli Charity House – Delivery of backpacks and baking equipment
Tripoli Charity House was founded by Ms. Lara Al-Rifai, a social activist very active in the region of Tripoli, in the north of Lebanon.
This year the economic situation Lebanon is facing has been devastating on most of its population, many can no longer afford purchasing bread as the loaf cost went up to almost 1.250 LBP.
Past President Rima Khalaf came to the club with a project to support the purchase of bread making equipment needed by Tripoli Charity House to produce bread and distribute it for free to needy families.
Thanks to the private donation made by Past President Philip Skaff and Past President Rima, the club was able to supply the needed.
Past President Rima also advised the need of this Charity House to 10 backpacks for girls and boys between the ages of 5 and 10 years.
The backpacks were supplied thanks to a donation made earlier by Rotary Club Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe
